Utah youth Any Bull Elk

He's wanting to use his bow but most likely end up using a rifle. I was just wondering if any of you guys had any tips or pointers or some of the Open Units to check out. Thanks a ton guys!

With a bow? Good luck. Most hunters are lucky to see one good bull on that hunt. I saw several bulls when I had it, but I only saw one I wanted to shoot...and I missed.

Hey dillon,

My youngest brother (14) drew the youth tag and I'll be looking for a place to take him on the youth hunt. Any suggestions? He's never hunted elk and I'm sure he'd be tickled with shooting a spike.

My son and I did that hunt about 5 years ago when he drew the tag. There is no way that I'd try that hunt as an archery hunt, and I love bowhunting elk. I'd plan on your child shooting a rifle, and they'll have a bit of a challenge even doing it that way. I'd plan on hunting at least the last week of the season, and be prepared to work for a bull.

On the plus side, it is a very fun hunt.
