I am not seeing the Panguitch Lake cow tags in the 2010 antlerless guidebook. Why is that?

Only thing that I can come up with is that they found out that I was going to apply for one. LOL

thats weird guess the spike/cow hunt musta slayed them. thought they were over populated up there last year !

I will be interested to compare last years success ratio to previous years, to see what effect the spike hunt had. I'm also wondering if the spike hunt on LE areas may have influenced the DWR to eliminate the cow hunt on areas such as Panguitch.

the results are up the spike hunt ruined early rifle and archery. archery went from 40 percent in 08 to 8% in 09. muzz held up and late did great!!!

I emailed the DWR out of Cedar City and they told me that they are way below objective.

I hate spike archery hunters that don't take ethical shots. I know of two guys who wounded upward of 15 elk last year on the Panguitch Lake spike hunt and never recovered a single elk they shot. Guess I will look elsewhere to fill the freezer.

These guys have had their rights taken away before so they are watched very carefully by the conservation officers. But I would have reported them if I had more than word of mouth for evidence.

That alot of wounded Bulls that might not make it, No wonder the herd is going downhill. You have to wonder how many are shot out of season too then.
