Morning,
Starting to gather information on my up coming hunt this fall. I know I should and will be connacting the DWR in Utah but would like to see if any advice could be found here. I moved up here to Moscow, Id. from Calif. and thought my out of state hunting was over, Cody Wyoming was the area I liked, plus it was a easy draw, Anyhow I kept up my Utah points and got drawed this year.
Does Utah offer any help for handicapped hunters? Any help on starting points for scouting the area.
Thank You
Gary

If you are disabled as to impead your ability to walk, the dwr will grant you a 30 day extension on your hunt, basically giving you the month of Nov to hunt. You will need to contact them and get forms to fill out and have a doctor fill out prior to the hunt. You may also get a certificate allowing you shoot from a vehicle as long as you are off the road.

That unit has a lot of private land but some good public land as well. Has been some CWD found in deer in the area so get info on that as well. Good luck.

As said before this unit is a lot of private land. You may want to try and contact some land owners or if not there is some public land to try. I live here in Vernal and I know that it's kinda hard to get someone to let you hunt on their place on dimaond. I would say if you only want to hunt public land; start with the south rim.

Morning,
Thank you for the replies. That 30 day exstension sounds like a man could be hunting the rut. Is this true? I'll find out more today with a few phone calls. What towns are near the South Rim as I will more than likely hunting from a motel room? Thanks again
