Official scorer

Just wondering if there is anybody around the Santaquin area that is considered an official scorer. I don't really care what my bull scores but when some one asks you how big he was and you say "I scored him at whatever" they don't believe what you say. If anyone wants to give me a second score I would appreciate your help. I killed the bull last fall so he has dried and I have the antlers at my house waiting to be mounted.

Damn, I'll bet you had to think about it for like ZERO seconds before you pulled the trigger. Thats a beautiful bull and an awesome trophy. If you told me you scored it in the 380-390 range, I would not doubt you

Thanks for the compliments, I guess I won't worry about an official scorer scoring him. I don't need him in any books. I am just grateful I got him and was able to do it with my dad, brother, a good friend, and my 8 year old boy. I get him somewhere around 372, and that is probably good enough for me. But thanks for your help.

That bulls better than that! I've killed and have helped kill quite a few 370+ bulls and I'm positive that bulls gonna break the 380 mark! Great bull and who cares what other people think!

Book or no book, that is one fine Bull! My guess is 370's net and pushing 390 or better gross

I'm not in the Santaquin area, but would be happy to score your bull whether you are interested in entering him or not. Many official measurers like myself really aren't scoring trophies just to get them in the book, but to perform a service to fellow sportsmen. If you want to enter the animal, great, but many racks I score each year are well below the minimums, and just for the information of the hunter.

I work at the U of U, and score racks on my lunch hour, etc., at the U if that is convenient for the hunter. I also meet many other hunters at my home in Davis county. If you are heading up north, give me a call and I would be happy to give you an official score on that beautiful elk. From the picture, it is at least close to the entry minimums, and maybe even bigger. Hard to say.

Yeah, I think that 372" must be net.

Those 4's have to be pushing 24" and it holds it's mass all the way out.

As soon as I saw him posted up I thought to myself that a good looking 380+ bull, I still think he will score above 385
