I had a 44 archery tag last year and after scouting it I ended up turning in my tag and exchanging it for a different unit. Deer density is fairly low in 44 during the summer through early Oct and I had a tough time even finding does during the summer. Many of the deer head up into scattered areas from the winter range that aren't even in 44. There are a few nice bucks but you will have a time finding them.
