I realize I am probably way early but I am anxious to start checking the credit card. Anyone know when they are doing the draw?
 
I am pretty sure that they did the draw already and the results will be posted by june 16.

Just checked last year's records. My credit card was charged on June 7th. Looks like we'll start finding out next week!
 
Yes, we should have some hits bt then. Nevada is is quick getting the tags to you! We always have the tags in hand before the notification date, even allowing for mailing time.

Last year the CC was charged on June 10th, on June 14th e-mail sent that we drew, on June 16th results were posted on website, then on June 17th received Hunt Book & Tag.

I use to work with guys who had no idea what they were doing when it came to paperwork, never could find a thing or parts when they needed them. Some would loose their paychecks before the day was over, that's uncalled for.

Shawn, I take it you are planning on hunting with "you know who" if you draw NV?

Lost their paychecks?!?! What a bunch of idiots....... Oh wait..... Once I lost a paycheck and didn't find it for over a year. It sure was a nice suprise when I cleaned out my old truck box and received a bonus for my efforts. Of course this was before I had a wife and 2 VERY hungry little boys! I'm sure we'd all notice if I lost one now. :)

Yep. I'll be hunting with the other Shon if we draw. I sure hope we are able to draw the tags...

My friends dad knows someone that works in Fallon where they do the draw at. He said they did the draw yesterday. But I am guessing next week sometime we should know. I check tonight and no new charges were on my card yet. I'll be checking every day for the next two weeks.

Didn't you see that statement in the regulations? Something about anyone who kills a booner desert is not eligible for any Nevada tags for a period of 5 years.
 
Another poster says that he saw charges to his card a couple of days ago. Here's hoping it takes a little time for the charges to spread east of the mississippi.

Yep, that's what it is. Well, at least it looks like they are moving the process along.
 
KW is right. The two $10 charges are essentially the "kiss of death". It means you were unsuccessful in both the regular draw and the PIW draw. Better luck to you next year!
 
Well, it appears that PIW charges are not the kiss of death because my credit card now shows a $60 charge from Fallon -- which can only be two deer tags!! I am stoked!
 
It's funny how we don't let our children open up thier x-mas presents days before the 25th. so that they will be surprised. I sure hope my kids don't get wind of this new fad of pulling back the wrapping paper.
If you applied on line, your fate will be e-mailed to you prior to any other notification. So, hang tight.
 
checked my balance just now and its 450. short I am going antalope hunting for my first time.

Got a charge for $300.00 and that's the only thing I can figure it'd be for.

The card I put my wife in for got hit for $30, so we've got 1 tag for NW Nevada. Hoping our junior and myself get hit soon.
 
Looks like dwalton was right no tags for me or my wife nine PIW's charges on my card. I still might get a muzleloader deer tag I put in with someone else. So I am keeping my fingers crossed. A friend I work with drew a elk or sheep tag so at least I will be hunting this year.
 
I have a pending $240 charge on the credit card! Finally got a Nevada deer tag! Will it be for rifle or muzzleloader? The anticipation is almost more than I can take! CO and Nevada deer tags. Im thinking that I've got a good shot at a Wyoming tag too. Everything else is a long shot. Might be a busy year!

Got the $30 hit for my son. Still waiting for mine. No PIW charges yet though for deer or elk. Maybe there are tags in my future??????

congrats on your fortune! i have the same charge so hope i am geeting a deer tag as well. what were you selections? mine were the following:

241-245 rifle
114-115 late muzzle
231 archery
221-223 archery
171-173 muzzle

I applied with two friends. They hit my card yestrday for 3 PIW charges and I figured it was all over. This morning I checked and theres another charge for $1200 so one of us drew a sheep, elk or goat tag. Now the wait till we find out who the lucky one is.

Well the buddy and I got a $480 credit card hit. We hope that means a tag in our future.

If so we drew one of the following:

241-245 Rifle
231 Muzzleloader
221 Muzzleloader
231 Archery

The excitment is brutal.
 
Hey guys.Has any residents been hit for an elk tag yet?I got hit for 3 deer tags on Sat.,but nothing for elk.My dad also got hit for a deer tag and nothing for elk and he has 3 bonus points for cow elk,so I thought for sure he would at least draw one.All I can hope for now is that they're hitting the elk ones today.If there is no charge in the morning I guess it's all over.I thought there might still be hope seems how I havent seen or heard anyone get hit for elk.This credit card thing is almost too much for me.Good Luck to all.Looks like I will be hunting the Ruby's for deer again this year as it was all 5 choices for me.Hope it's the late archery again.
 
I'm res and just got hit for $60 still waiting to see if I get a elk tag also have 7 points so I hops so......
 
I'm a N.R. and my card took a 1,200 hit late Friday afternoon. It's either a sheep tag or a bull tag. I have(had) 10 points for sheep and elk, but expecting an elk tag. Good luck to all applicants.

I recieved a hit last Thursday for $120.00

Could be sheep, mountain goat for me

or sheep,mountain goat or elk for the wife.

it is my understanding that the draw was complete last friday.
 
$240 to credit card Non Res deer tag now if i only knew if it is Riffle Muzz or Bow hunting for me. Only sent for hard odds units that means hunting in the rut.
 
I use two credit cards for hunting applications. One for me and one for my son.

The middle of last week I had a $10 charge on his card labled "NV BIG GAME TAGS LICS 8005761020 NV" which as all of you know is the PIW "kiss of death" as it has been coined on this site. Then on Friday, my available credit balance drops exactly $300, but the charge hasn't been posted yet.

I am pretty sure he drew an antelope tag, as I have used that card only for his hunt applications. I recall it happening the same way when I drew my antelope tag in 2003.

Since nothing has been charged to MY card and I was ineligble for the PIW draw since I applied for a deer bonus point, it looks like I will have to wait for the rest of the draws to see if I draw a decent tag. Still have Montana, New Mexico, Idaho, CA, and Arizona to go so there is still hope!

Congratulations to all of you who have drawn Nevada and good luck to all of you if you are still in the running for a tag in any of the remaining state draws!

Got an email from NV Mon. eve. unsuccessful on all six apps. Oh well there's always next year.
 
well i got an email at 11:10pm on june12 (it's dated june16) told me i was unsuccseful in antlered mule deer draw (1331,1341,1371) i guess my waiting is over until next year
 
Looks like my buddy and I pulled the two non-resident 231 muzzleloader permits. There is a god after all. Took eight years to pull this tag and plan to make it happen.
 
I got lucky this year and drew a rifle tag in units 202, 205, and 206. Hunt dates are in November through Dec. 3.

Should be a good hunt, expecially if they get snow in the Sierras!

I had 5 bonus points.

Hey Guys,
Seems like i got lucky this year and i drew the 111 Late Junior deer hunt on my last year and i can't wait. So it is going to be hard to hold off on some good bucks till november. But hope everybody else was as lucky as i was and good luck on the 2006 hunting season.
