Rut Time??

Hey guys i posted a while back that i drew an archery tag in new mexico in the sargent wildlife management area up around Chama and im gonna be huntin september 5th through the 10th. will that be to early for the rut and if it will be to early wut type of hunting will i be doin? spot and stalk or wut? i have never hunted elk before so any info would be great thanks in advance guys.

pines..thanks for the info and that was the answer i was lookin for just tryin to see if people thought the huntin would be good that early in the season i was worried it might be a bit early but i wasnt sure.thanks again.

If it hot hunt water, find what watering holes they are using and hunt from there.
