I don't think there is going to be much of a hunt this year here in New Mexico. Drought is SERIOUS and getting worse. Haven't heard about the fawn crop yet, but it can't be good.

the drought is pretty bad...we need the monsoons to really kick in this year...the mountains been getting some heat of the day storms and showers the past few days and should continue through saturday...hell, we even had some light rain in parts of albuquerque yesterday...keep watching that radar and pray for dark greens, yellows and reds on that radar

How about south of silver towards the burro mountains? Its pouring here in southeastern arizona rightnow , oh wait a minute now its hailing!!

We went for a hike in the Burros yesterday and there was water in certain canyons but not all of them..

Its been real dry here the only rain we've had was today. Hopefully the monsoons kickup! I put in for the mule deer burro mt tag and 23 as well.

Didn't look too bad north of Luna around May 10th. I was scouting for turkey after finishing up in AZ unit 27. Most tanks had some water and some creeks running, had a little late snow. The ground was pretty dry though, but pretty good green up considering. That's probably Apache National Forest, but not too far away from parts of the Gila.

Weather Channel indicates 40-60 percent chances of rain in the gila.

alot of rain in the state today...looks like the gila country got the best of it...supposed to get one more day of rain before it warms up again...hopefully it will drop some good rains over the mountains again...every little bit helps...

Had rain in S.E. N.M. last night (9 June 06) not enough to even register in the guage! Ranchers have been suplaminting (sp) since God knows when. Nothing to eat out there with any nutritional value. Not a great time to be an antelope or deer. Very, very sad.
