bugling help

hey everybody i just got my berry game calls thunder bugle in yesterday and ive got the main part of the bugle down but im a bit weak on the chuckles at the end i was just wondering if yall guys think that the chuckles are that important or if yall use them at all any callin info would be great thanks guys

I'm no elk pro, but I chuckle more than I bugle. Dark timber, middle of the day, I'll start raking a tree and chuckle. I get a lot of responses and action to that. Good luck this season.

I almost never chuckle. A sweet squeal usually works for me. If I get a bull going and he is chuckling and I start mimicking/matching him, that sometimes works. But to locate I never chuckle. First off it will usually cover up any response from a bull and it really isn't necessary. Most guys really suck a chuckling anyway and it is a dead giveaway to me. However just about any crappy squeal will work IMO. Stick to simply squeals and mix it up in volume and duration. Short soft, high/long..Just don't bark unless they bark at you, then bark back and act like an elk. Good luck.
