I just checked my e-mail. I got the dreaded unsuccessfuls but my 13 year old son was lucky enough to draw his first antelope tag! I am looking forward to taking him on his antelope hunt.

Just got mine too :'(. It's gonna be a long year waiting for next years results,of course I can apply for the outfitters draw at an earlier date but it is still a long way off. Congrats to all who drew and good luck with the hunts.

Just got my email this morning....looks like my son and I are going to Elko Area 6. If you look at the email from NDOW, there is a number next to your hunt,(ie. Antlered Mule Deer (1331, 1341, 1371) - 638.) The last three numbers is the applications hunter choice number that you drew. So for all you guys that drew and are waiting to see where, dig out your application book or check it online at:

Do you put in for the late October hunt there? We drew first try in 1998 and never since. 8 points and counting, including this year. We are trying for the new late season. Still pretty incredible considering points are squared. We are dam near the highest point holders in the state for deer.
 
I better get the smokepole tuned up. I will be hunting 114-115 with muzzleloader in November. Saw some really nice bucks while elk hunting there last year. I hope a few of them are still running around when I get there this year.

Eastwood, since Nevada changed this hunt to an early and late season, we have always put in for both. Late is always our first choice and last year my son drew it as his first. I have been hunting 6 for the last 20-25 years and we have always had excellent luck. Sounds like you hit a dry spell. with 8 points, I'd be putting in for the Sheldon. You have a decent chance to draw that. Best of luck to you.

I drew 35 muzzleloader and my wife got 43-46 rifle. I'm a little surprised and disappointed our daughter didn't draw as a junior.
 
What unit is the Sheldon? I only know unit numbers.

Ya with our point total we are pretty much commited to the late hunts now until we draw. But after that I think I am done with them. I'd rather get to hunt Nevada deer more often, and would really like to try archery.
 
Another year of no tags in my home state. Thank God for Utah and Colorado!

Got my notice in mail this morning also, nothing for me this year either in NV. Kind of expected it since we drew deer last year. Still need a few more points for Elk & Sheep.

I am one lucky SOB I drew 21 muzz tag for deer as a NR with 2 points. Hunting bucks in Dec. with a muzz. All I can say Hell YES!

I'll be hunting 171-173 with a rifle. Had 4 points. Buddy drew it last year with 3. Looking forward to a good hunt!
 
Unit 033 early and 033 late. Probably the best trophy deer area in the state. There are some real boomers in that unit.
 
I've been lurking on the site for a while now and enjoying it tremendously. Just found out my buddy and I drew 101-108 muzzleloader and both extremely excited as this is our first time to go to Nevada. Neither of us have any experience in the area as we hunt OR and WA exclusively while waiting the past half dozen years to draw anywhere else out of state (NV, AZ, CO, UT, NM). Looking forward to some new area and anybody with some experience in these areas suggesting a place to start scouting would be greatly appreciated - Finally going to Nevada, Awesome!!!
 
I drew a resident archery 171-173 deer tag and a 033 late antelope rifle tag. 6 points to get the antelope tag. Godd luck to all!
 
You boys hunting in 221, send my one-fingered salute to Taulman of USO. Looks like the state has granted him a tag.
 
Not hunting Nevada this year it seems. Willing to help anyone who needs it though. Utah, Here I come.... again...

Looks like I am going sheep hunting again. My friend that was on my hunt last year drew 253E. He didn't think he drew again because he still doesn't have anything on his credit card yet. Can't wait untill Nov 11.
 
Cass- Where are you from? I am having a hard time finding someone to go on my archery deer hunt. All my friends want to take the time off to go with me on my antelope hunt. If you are in NV and free Aug 8-15 let me know. I will be hunting 171-173 south of Austin. I have hunted it alot, but only once with a bow.
