was out droping some trophy rock and decided to do some cow calling before I walk down in to my spot so I dont run them out of the country and a bull bugled back started out as a mew and ended in a bugle got to love it

I was over by Jackson hole two weeks ago with the scouts. Up on Granite Creek, spent some time on the ridges at night spoting and bugling. They actually responded pretty well and the scouts loved it. Called in a rag horn and some cows to 100 ft. Pretty cool and the scouts got their first taste of bugling and cow calling.

Ran into a herd up by Strawberry the weekend of the twenty-fourth and we heard some cows then we started hearing bugles. That was the earliest that I have ever heard them bugle before.

Wonder how many of them Bugles were Archery StickFlippers educating Elk long before they should be?

Just asking cuzz I see it every year, then people wonder why Bulls are Call shy?

I love not acting my age,
Damn I love my NASCAR race,
And Hell yes I love my Truck!

Nice bulls man! Good luck on those, and if you only have 1 tag, please send the other to my unit!

I've heard more bulls bugle this summer scouting than any other summer I can remember!!

a couple of great looking bulls. Seems like they are bugling just about everywhere.

Thought we would get everyone's blood pumping and revive this thread. Last weekend on the Dutton I heard three bulls bugle, and one in the middle of the day. Saw a rag horn chasing cows and getting all worked up. Two bulls right at dark were screaming for over 10 minutes at each other and myself. Rut coming early? Any thoughts? Other locations? Just a few days away now...

Sure hope so, it would make the Books Cliffs archery tag burning my pocket really nice...
I will let you know after this weekend if they are bugling in the cliffs
