This is the call you bite down on the call and blow. If so do you like them or don't like them? I really like the one I have. The sounds seem great. Any thought?

I have used one for years. It has worked great for me. I had a little trouble tuning it when the rubber band broke. I spent a few bucks and bought another one. I use several calls and it is definately one I take along.

Good luck.

I've been using them for a few years and really like them,Sceery Ace-1 and the Carltons Fighting cow call. I can change the sounds as I want, calf, cow, and even bull talk...tho you can't chuckle with them much.

I carry like 5-7 of them on a Lanyard for changing up calls to sound like a herd instead just one plus the Hoochie in a pocket for a muted call.

"I have found if you go the extra mile it's Never crowded".

My dad used these calls a long time ago. They are old calls now but they still sound great and are fairly easy to use. I still like my mouth call though.

Like Gator, I carry 3 to 4 of these calls along with a couple Hoochie mamas for contrast. Cow talk works great cause they can be heard from a long way out as opposed to Hoochie mama's. They are made by ELK out of Gardiner Mt.

I used one back in the old days before the reed calls came out. I found them a bit un relyable though. I now use the Primos hyperlip single and double. They can realy through the sound out there. When they fet in close I switch to the diaphram call.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-05-10 AT 11:58AM (MST)[p]I used this last year to get my 6x6 Archery Bull to stop. I also called back the herd of cows after they busted out....And this was my first year using it or hunting ELK. I take it with me everywhere though and practice allot in the car.

I also practice whistling a cow call in case I want to change it up or the bands break on that call. This year I am trying to master the Diaphram, but there is a little bit of a learning curve compared to the bite down call types like the E.L.K. Cow Talk.

Another bonus to these calls, is when I am bored; I call insome Coyotes by making the 'ol dying Jack Rabbit sound. This call works pretty good for that and calls the 'Yotes in from a ways. =)
