LAST EDITED ON Aug-01-10 AT 08:29AM (MST)[p]Anyone been out scouting the books this year (Bitter Creek Road Area Tag). I am going Wednesday night to Friday morning to do some scouting. Any advice would be appreciated for the archery hunt... I have my maps marked with spots to check out, but am still a little undecided where to focus.

I will also be heading out August 18th and be there for the archery opening.

Wish I could scout the Books, but 1500 miles one way makes that tough.

Considered flying out for a long scouting weekend, but decided to just add a week to the hunt instead. I'll just be scouting with bow in hand.

Can't wait!

I will be doing a little scouting with my bow as well. I am going down tonight and for the opening weekend to mainly scout. Plan on hunting hard from September 2nd to the 17th. Let me know if you want to keep in touch and trade notes during the hunt.

My original plan was to arrive on 9/2 and hunt through the 17th as well. If all goes well, I'll be pitching my tent on the 8/28 instead. Still planning to be there through the 17th if necessary.

Hopefully, there is at least some cell phone coverage up there!
