I was pretty excited when I walked up on my trail camera yesterday to see all the pictures waiting to be looked at. Enjoy!

This group of cows arrived at this wallow at 12:30 p.m and didn't leave til almost 8:30 p.m. Guess the Trophy Rock really works.

I have some other bulls on here but this guy is the biggest. How much more growing does this bull have? If he ends up forking good in the back is he a shooter on the Archery season? He lookes like he has good length, but I think I would let him walk.

That bull might go 270" when he finishes. Mainbeams look short, making the rest of the tine length look better than it is. The pictures all the cows is a good thing. The bulls will find the cows when the hunt rolls along. I would rather find cows in July than bulls.

That is an awesome sequence. From the green grass to dirt. Really neat to see that progression in your pics. Thanks a ton for sharing. Cool pics. I'd be excited too. The elk sure look healthy.

sick pictures man. by chance is this place up big cottonwood? cause im pretty sure i have seen that bull this year scouting and i was thinkin if he came close i would take him. i have never killed an elk before so anything works for me.

Nope, Not Big Cottonwood. It's Somewhere between Heber and Current Creek.;)

That's cool all I got this week was a big lion, bucks, and cows. And a hundred shots of a rabbit that was hanging around.

In the pic where the bull has the back of his head to the camera, do I see that he rubbed his velvet?

It looks like it to me too. Pic #10.

I wouldn't think so either but you can see the burrs in the picture. I have never killed a velvet racked animal before so I don't know if you could see that type of detail or not with velvet on???
Plus the G1 looks rather thin..

Nah, that is still velvet. They are just a little thin. If you look close you can see it is still furry! I have not seen a bull yet this year that has rubbed and doubt we will for another few weeks.

Derrick,

Looks like you have found a great spot. Be patient. If that bull looks good to you smoke him. If you want a little bigger, be patient and wait for the big boys to start rounding up cows. The cows will bring him in to water and then you can smoke him! On the Wasatch archery hunt, time and patience are your best friend. If you have both you will be rewarded!!

Good luck and make sure to post up how your hunt ends and which bull you get!

Thanks Silentstalker. I know this wallow will produce a big bull, especially with the amount of cows hanging around. I have Sep 5th through the 17th off, plus opening weekend so I have a ton of time. My goal for a bull is 330.

Nice to see you're seeing a few. Like Chad said, be patient. I wish you good luck and shoot straight.
