I hit the frecken lotto. My party of me and my two boys and my daughter, and my freinds party of him and three kids both drew our x-1 tags with no points. And so far at least one of my boys drew his junior hunt in x-7B. Cant check on the other boy yet. I dont have his dfgid number. He is also in for a junior elk hunt. That and my Montana speed goat tag would complete a perfect year.

Still at the top of the pool.
CA continues my tagless streak this year.
Think it's time to change areas.
Any of you guys with 7-B tags feel like trading info after this falls hunt?
Think thats where I will be in 07.
Thanks Jason

I have been in the x-7 b area over the last two weeks and seen many bucks biggest one right off of I-80 on the cali border.I also seen my first banded doe on the henness pass road.My gang all drew x-6 b cant wait good luck to the rest of you.

This will be the first time I've been in X-7B. I'll let you know how it goes. If anyone wants to post up some info feel free. LoL. It is for my 14 year old. He has shot a cow elk but not a deer yet. It would be cool if my 12 year old draws it too. guess I'll have to call in tomorrow.

Larry:

Congrats on the tags......and the kid! :) Which speed goat tag did you draw? I was drawn for Likely Tables (archery of course) in 2001 and saw LOTS of goats.

Looks like D3-5 again for me this year. My 13 year old son has been real lucky when it comes to these draws but he will be hunting D3-5 with me as well. Oh, well one of these years the max points are going to pay out I hope!

Still some hope left for a tag this year though with New Mexico, Idaho, and Arizona still in play.........

Good luck to all those still to get their results and congrats to all of you who have drawn!

Thanks BOHNTR....

The 'lope tag is for Likely tables, period 1 (general). Somewhere between diaper changes and naps I have to get to some homework.

Nothing special for me, I already got my D-6 tag in the mail a couple of weeks ago. Hoping to get one more D-6, if not then
D-7 or D-5.

Now DFG is saying that was a test and not the real results! They said the real results will be posted on the 26th.So who knows?

Lucky13....

Thanks. I'm trying to time my online scouting with 3 and 5 am feedings. Hopefully he calms down by the end of july so i can sneak away for a scouting trip or two (Fingers crossed). I've hunted geese out of alturas a bunch, so I have a general idea of the country. I just need to narrow down a jumping off point.

I was so excited when I saw the posting, I almost got into the truck and headed north!!

Maybe you or BOHNTR can answer a few questions...

1. Is there a good deal of public land up there??
2. Do the goats stay on private land all the time?
3. What would be an average buck up there? I'm trying to guauge what a representitive buck I the area is.
4. When does the rut usually kick in.

No biggee if you can't get to the questions... Good luck to you!

it just isnt working , think i've tried like 93 times today ,,,,,,, argggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

I didn't draw, I hope it was a test & I drew the Goodale hunt, I would laugh like heck. They won't change the draw, since it has been posted, no such luck. Mike

My buddies and I drew X7B archery tags and another buddies kid got an X7B junior tag. My two boys drew that junior hunt last year, so of course with no points they got nada! And of course no goats and no elk!

five point,

1.) Yes
2.) No, lots of public ground
3.) I'd guess 12.5-13"
4.) Rut hits during Period 2

Keep in touch.
