Lasal Musket

I drew the lasal Masket tag this year. Anybody has any advice or info to help me on this hunt I would appreciate it.

I shoot a traditions pursuit lt 26" barrell 50 cal. Been trying lots of different bullets. So far i like the powerbelts 295 aero tip bullets with 2 50 grain pyrodex pellets. Anybody had any luck or not so good luck with power belts when hunting elk?

I shot the aero tip one year. They shot really good out of my Omega. I shot my deer on the general hunt two years ago. A double lung shot, there was about four drops of blood where I shot him. He ran about 50-75 yards and I did not find another drop of blood until I found him! I have heard the same thing from several others who have used these also. If you end up using them, like I tell others shoot the animal in the front shoulder to slow him down first. Get on Cabela's and check out the reviews, others are complaining of the same problem!
