Here is a bull I have the score on, lets see how close you can judge this one.

Hard to say. The fifths and back end look really good. I cant tell if the royals are week or if the fifths are really good. I'm going to say a 340 class bull.

I will throw out 365...dang nice 5ths!!!

?The bugle of the bull elk echo?s through the pines, the north wind moans her lonesome lullaby, he hungers for the freedom of an eagle as she flies?somewhere beyond the great divide?

I guess I'll be the low-ball. Front end looks pretty weak to me.

320. Great 5ths though

I'm with the 340 guys. Nice mass, 4ths and 5ths. Short beams and fronts. Beautiful bull. I have a Wyoming LE tag this fall and if one like that crosses my path it'll be party time !

not a very good picture. short fronts it looks like. not much mass either. just a nice back end. 330's. still a good bull.

I'm with you Jaco, he's a great looking bull and I'd be very tempted with those great whales tails, but even his fourths are only 17 or 18". I get him at 319 with a 37" spread and 46" beams.

Travis, I'd be slinging as soon as he got in bow range opening morning at first light if I were you. I don't know how I'll pass one like that with my tag when they look so huge up close and personal :)

Cheers,
Pete

I think the mass is throwing people off, fronts alittle short. Not sure on width but I think he will go 360. Great looking bull. JB

Brace yourselves, this bull is 317, never shoot a bull off of first impressions, study it for a while, this bull only had back ends I think the fourths were 19 and the fifths were 18, the back end throws you off he is compacted which means all the points are close which gives him a short beam 45. But given the unit it is still a great bull, this was a LaSal bull which isn't known for the biggest bull, but though the unit is getting better. If I get a shot at his brother during my hunt, I will shoot because it is a good looking bull.

That is a normal La Sal bull, with any work at all you can get one that scores better than that, not saying thats not a good bull but you can find that size all over the unit. I would still probably shoot that one with a archery tag...great looking back end.

I would sort of disagree with that statement. IMO, looks are more important that paper score, and the is one good looking Bull!

To me, that Bull is awesome looking I would be happy with that even though the score isnt quite what you would want it to be he would make a beautiful mount! He is deceptive though I would have guessed him at the mid 300's I may be wrong but it seems to me that alot of people who make hunting movies way overscore their bulls.

I would not hesitate to shoot that bull, he is a trophy reguardless of score.

I can say that the horns would look great on my barn.

Haha, I knew all those 350+ scores were way off. Two above average length tines (5ths) won't make up for six below average length tines (1sts, 2nds, 3rds) on score. 4ths are average length, beams and mass are close to average too.

Still a good bull, the length of the 5ths make up in character what it lacks in front end. I'd shoot it

Nice bull! Love the looks, though I didn't have him much over 320. Nevertheless, most hunters won't ever take one much bigger than that.
