Hey Everyone,

Well, I took another MM member fishing again and we had a great time. I took Lisa Thomas known as the infamous Oregon here on MM. Lisa, her husband and brother caught a bunch of sturgeon. Hopefully we will see some pictures. She will have to post them because since hunting-pictures shut down I have no idea how to post pictures anymore. Anyway, I thought I would tell you all about it and I am still looking forward to taking PW sturgeon fishing this summer. PW, you need to get me some dates before I am booked up. I can't wait to see his butt kicked on a 300 lb sturgeon.
Talk to you later, Jon

OFG, I won't even try to make any excuses for not making the sportsman show again this year...This is the second year I have not been able to break free to go...How was the show??. Keith 46.

Hey KingFish,

One of these days I will catch up with you. The Seattle show was a big disappointment. Next year I will go back down and do the Long Beach show in California. I also want to look at the show in Reno. We will see. Talk to you later, Jon

Hey Paul,

They were talking about coming back for the big sturgeon in the summer. I am not sure if they are or not but that would be a fun trip. We sure had a good time out there and you will have to talk to Lisa to find out all the fish they caught. If you need any info. about fishing just give me a call 1-877-347-4662 or email and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Talk to you later, Jon

Well I got the pictures back and they turned out great. I will drop them in the mail to you in the morning Jon. You cant make fun of them (me) though. He, he! I will figure out a way to put some on here too. What a great time! My guess is 40-45 fish. Sound about right? Couldnt have had a better time, the weather, the company, the fish, even the guy running the boat was pretty darned entertaining. PW, you have GOT to make it out this summer. Cant wait to get the big ones. (Oh, and Paul, for the record, hes my EX husband. We just get along better when we're not married.)
I do want to say a great big THANK YOU to Jon. That truly was a great time and a great day and you are a great guy. Cant wait to do it again soon. Just let me know what you still have for June and its a (fishing) date. Just be sure to bring that pole holder thingy that I like so much!! Lisa

Wow, thought you ran off and got married on me there Lisa. Am so glad you had a chance to hook up with an old diamond back, if your gonna fish it might as well be "big game fishing".

Hey Lisa,

You know I wasn't even going to go there about the fighting belt. hahaha Here I was going to be a gentleman however we could bring that up. haha Just kidding.

The only Saturday I have open in June is the 7th. I do have most of the Sundays open at this time. Just give me a call and I would love to see that belt on you again. hahaha Later, Jon

Dang, I bet the bbq was almost as good as the fishin~! Glad to hear it was a good trip with lots of action!

I sure miss the stretch of river from Cape Horn on up to Bonneville sometimes...especially this time of the year. Hard to beat the sturgies and Wind River springers eatin'-wise--it's definately better than the turkey I shot last weekend.

Lisa, too funny. Glad you had a great time. How big was your biggest sturgeon? Ripon Bill, did you live in Oregon at one time? Paul

LAST EDITED ON Apr-06-03 AT 08:06PM (MST)[p]Yeah PC, I lived in Vancouver WA. Good fishing in that area--that area is the place to be for over-sized sturgeon fishing. I don't think there's any other inland waters in the U.S. you can see a handful of biggame fish jump out of the water in less than an hour. And you even get some decent salmon runs among other things.
