LAST EDITED ON Aug-25-10 AT 01:26PM (MST)[p]I recently got a Busnell Trophy Cam and set it up for the fisrt time. This is for a Wyoming elk hunt in a LE unit. I just checked the photos and it looks like some jack A$$ deleted the photos from July 30-Aug 10. I got pictures of him/her walking away from the camera and I hope his/her picture is stored on the internal memory of the camera. If they are I will be sure to post up some pictures a losser. I don't understand why somebody would delete phots of a camera they don't own and I don't understoand why somebody would mess with somebody else's stuff? A side note the camera did great and I will post pictures later.

Atleast they didn't steal it.

Its pretty sad to say we used to get pissed when people would steal memory cards/delete pictures now we are just lucky if they dont steal the camera!

I know I am lucky it was not stolen. I just don't get messing with someone else's stuff. I agree that it is sad that a person is now lucky if their stuff is only messed with and not stolen.

Thats deffinatly a bad deal either way cause I think people should just leave other peoples ##### alone but maybe what happened is the guy just checked the cameras pics by removing the memory card without turning the camera to the off position and the pictures that were on there got erased by doing so. Has happened to several of my cameras out there before.

It they've been deleting your pics they obviously don't want you to see what is there. Maybe there's something good in the area. It made me wonder how many of the reported stolen cameras are behind a bush near the tree where it was set up. Just a thought, I wonder if some of these jerks are just taking the cameras down and tossing them off the side of the trail. That way they accomplish the same goal as deleting your pics but won't be caught red handed coming down the trail. No matter what is happening, I agree that it's not right.

I have to agree with Killshot, the guy may have just been trying to see if any good animals came in and deleted them by accident or stupidity. I have to say, I am still a little conflicted when it comes to trail cameras. I wouldn't steal one, but I also don't like to see them when I am scouting for new areas to hunt. Nor do I believe a trail camera on a good spot saves it for that hunter. This isn't school where you can save your spot...it is public land.

I never said I thought it was my area. Not sure where that came from? However, it is my camera! Simple rule: if it's not yours leave it alone. If you don't like trail cameras, don't buy one.
