Hello,
Could someone inform me of when the deer in the Vernal area start there pre rut and rut? Thank you for any help. I've called the region wildlife office but have'nt any luck talking to the bioligist(sp)

WELL!!!

USUALLY ABOUT THE SECOND WEEK OF NOVEMBER IS WHEN THE NOMAD BUCKS NECK WILL START TO SWELL & USUALLY PEAK ABOUT THANKSGIVING TIME!!!

THIS OF COURSE DEPENDS ON THE WEATHER & HOW MANY HUNTS THE UDWR HAVE HAD RUNNING & CONSECUTIVELY & OVERLAPPED!!!

TOO NICE OF WEATHER & HUNTING PRESSURE HAS PUSHED THE RUT LATER & LATER!!!

THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS THEY HAVE CUT BACK ON THE "COW SHOOT" HUNTS AROUND HERE THANK GOD!!!

THEN WHAT DO THEY DO???

THEY HAVE A LATE BULL DEPERDATION HUNT IN AN L.E. UNIT,WTF!!!

THE ONLY bobcat TRYING TO FIGURE THE UDWR OUT,BUT I HAVE FAILED!!!

I'd have to go along with what bobcat said. Mid to late November. Also what he says about the DWR.
