Just stumbled upon your post trying to find info myself. I drew this area and went up on the opener and saw one spike and several does. I hunted and drove the roads (ATV and truck) for the entire Diamond Mtn and Red Rock Area. I then dropped in the Taylor Lake area and spent another entire day looking and nothing. Only saw two other hunters the entire time, which was strange.
Curious as to where you might have gone and any info...
Actually heard from others and scouted that area, nothing. There was a small fire in early July, may have affected the area. Any idea how Hamilton Mtn area hunts?
Talked to some locals last year during archer in C4 and they said they were seeing alot of bucks on the 6B side of hwy147 near Almanor which is west of Hamilton but have never hunted it. The area around Davis lake/Crocker mtn is Another good area. My cousin's ranch is across the road on 6B side and there's always deer in the area. Good Luck!
