depends on the snow conditions. I had that tag a few years ago and it snowed hard on us. Not a good idea to camp high due to unpredictable weather. If you have access to atv's, use them! You will cover alot more territory without wearing yourself out. That time of year you need to concentrate on the Hell Hole canyons if you want to kill a big one. They are in the steepest, nastiest draws. A good thing to do right now would be to find some of these draws and determine how you will access them from the road you come in on. Definantly go up a few days before your hunt starts to really start scouting the area as it will be a totally different ball game for you come november compared to now. I did not have the luxury of using an atv on my hunt so I was limited to the area I could hunt. It was just me and my dad. I ended up killing a small 6 point towards the end of my hunt because I was looking in the wrong areas. I found herds of 100-150 elk with just a couple rag horns hanging with them. I did not know at the time that the bigger bulls had split up from the herds and headed into the hell holes to hide. So take this advise pretty seriously and don't focuss on areas with a high concentration of cow elk and smaller bulls because you will be dissappointed. I saw around 750 head of elk and only 25 were bulls, 2 of which were six points, the one I shot and one that was a little bigger. Good luck and let me know if you need any help.
