My pal Mike took this "Spike" bull ( no branch above the ears on one side ) last year in Utah. I took the trail cam photos in to the DWR for their blessing and clarification on the law. Answer: "Good Luck, Take him out if you can." High Uintahs Taxidermy in Coalville, Utah did the taxi work. I think he turned out awesome. Great result from a spike bull tag.

More field photos & finished photos on my blog.

Sweet bull! Great mount!

My son shot a freak "spike" a few years ago but not the same class as yours.

Nice, very nice!

I saw one very similar to that this spring in the Wasatch LE bordering the Uintas. 6 point on one side, spike on the other.

Nice bull for sure!

Very nice bull. I have hunted the Uintahs many times. I know how hard a guy has to work to kill any bull let alone that kind of bull. Congrats.

It's always an adventure!!!

I'm guessing it was an LE unit and high Uintas did the taxidermy. I was BSing with dean a few weeks ago and saw this bull. He's probably closer to once in a life time than actually drawing an LE tag.

Nice work!

You are correct. I guess the Caption is a little unclear.

Manti Unit. I hunted him the entire archery hunt with no luck.

Mike finally put him down on opening day of the rifle hunt.

Dean is the man! Did you see the Double Bull Pedestal Mount he had completed? Awesome piece.

Awesome looking mount. One of the better elk mounts I've seen lately. Man, to get a bull like that on a spike tag is truely once in a lifetime. Congrats on your success and fine mount.

Thats one hell of a trophy! Its neat to kill those
odd animals like that. Great work!

THAT IS A BEAUTIFUL MOUNT. THE BULL LOOKS REALLY BIG, OLD AND TIRED IN THE TRAIL CAMERA PICTURES. ANY IDEA ON THE AGE

Not sure on his age but when Mike pulled his Ivory's they were really worn down. My guess is "Old"
