Wyoming unit 102

Its a good tag and every year they kill 4-6 really good deer. Mostly what gets killed is a bunch of average 4 points. The g&f said the average age of deer harvested was 51/2 years of age which is complete Horse pucky. As is the case with most areas in Wyoming it has a lot of potential but we can't get the G&f to lay off the take. In fact they raised the tags by 100 this year, go figure. A couple of weeks back there was a post that some of you were comparing this area to the Pansugant, or the strip, although I believe the potential is there right now its and its like comparing spam to t-bones. Hunt hard, stay off the trigger until the right deer shows itself, and shoot straight.

no way is the area 102 even close to the pauns or the strip....
sure it has a few nice bucks if you find them....but take the best out of all three and out them side by side.......

Area 102 is over-rated.Calling it the best unit in Wyo is a joke.I go filming every year during the rut out there(it's my backyard),and see so many 3 year old bucks breeding the does it's not even funny.Best unit in Wyo?I guess if you look at the way our herds are being managed,maybe it is.LOL.Give me a break.Sounds like Garth Carter got told by someone how great this place was,and decided to put it in his rag so he would have an easier draw in whatever unit he puts in for!
