There is no chance that bull is 380...NO CHANCE. He's a 5x6, and basically a 5x5.

Well now I dont have a dog in this fight. But Hunter231 has a much bigger bull (both are nice bulls by the way, I would be thrilled to drop the hammer on either). So lets see what his scores. I have been doing quite a bit of work in judging bulls this year to sharpen my eye and I too, feel that bull is just over 300. I think all the measurements are a little high. For example, I dont see a 2 foot tine (I saw a 23" measurement) anywhere on that rack and the 5th is not 15" IMHO. Of course, maybe I have been right all these years and my wife has been wrong????? ;-) Maybe the OP could discuss how the measurements were taken? For example, was the tine length measured from the top of the beam to the tip of the point? Is this a B&C score? I believe there are other scoring systems out there (ie Safari Club) that i know nothing about.
Maybe someone could post a pic of a known 340-350 bull for comparison sake?

So if you use that to base your measurements on I can't come close to 380 either. I don't think anyone here is trying to take away from the bull, but 380 is a big number and for basically a 5 point to make 380 it has to be HUGE.
I can't see 52-53 on the beams with only ~12" after the royal on the left side, nor can I see 6" on the 5th on the other side, and 60" of mass is a lot(average of 7-1/2").
Maybe its just the angle of the photos, who knows. If its that big i'll have no problem eating crow.

It was a great bull and I would shoot it with my LE tag. Everyone likes to see pictures and nobody was ripping the bull or the hunter, but the score discussion must have offended someone. oh well.

Hey elkaholic post that beauty back up man! I have a 373 bull in my house that I green scored a little high at first myself and he looks very similar to yours! Its monster muleys, every one thinks they know better than anyone else!

This is my bull. I even posted the b and c score sheet gross. I have scored lots of deer and elk. I am no offical measurer but I put a steel tape on him and didnt give him any extra. I even rounded down to the lower eighth. You can see he is not 380 but I didnt say he was, that was a rumor. gross score 368 6/8 Everyone needs to take a chilL pill and relax. does it really matter what some one says their bull is. I had one heck of a fun hunt. I hope you like the pictures as much as I like them please enjoy!!!!! also You need to understand when you look at the picture I am a big guy (310 lbs)so the comparison may seem off. It takes a giant animal to make me look normal size.

That is a great bull, congrats!!! I don't think any body was talking down on your bull, people take the score serious around here and there are a lot of people that spout out numbers without knowing. I've seen deer and elk grow 20?+ in an email chain or text messages, people just seem to keep rounding up and they didn't even have anything to do with the hunt. Once again congrats on an awesome bull!

You actually have to wait 60 days to get an official score however you can get a green score gross and net any time you want.
