Dang Spike Hunters!!!

Well I waited a long time to finally draw my Le tag. I have heard bad stories about the spike and general deer hunt at the same time.
Well, now my hunt comes along and the first day of my hunt what do I find??? Two spike hunters road hunting! I couldt believe it. who do they think they are??? So I B.S with them for a minute, they tell me a few areas to check out, then carry on.
It has been about twenty days since I last ran into a spike hunter. I mean everytime I turn around there is nobody there. SO my question is this. Who the Hell do I blame now??:"?

You will always have the old standbys. DWR for making the season too early. Weather has gotten hot and dry. Nobody has accused Mossback of ruining their hunt yet you could try that one .

Let me give you a little hint... The shortest distance between point A(camp) and point B(hunting spot) is a dirt road.
If you cant sence my sarcasm read this next part over and over. I have had the mountain to myself and it has been great! But I have not killed a bull yet and I have to have someone to blame! I cant blame myself because it is always someone else. Right???
Thanks guys for the people to blame, those are all great options. Blaming Pro is always a good backup plan and never fails. I think at this point I have narrowed it down to two people. Martha Stewart and Al Gore, But im going to keep my options open.
A few weeks ago there was a Lesbian festible in Torrey. I bet those rug munchers are doing everything they can to screw me up.

you were right the first time. Blame the darn spike hunters. Without someone in the bushes to get the elk up and moving, how you gonna ambush one? Write to the DWR, the advisory board, SFW, and the Elk Foundation. Make them get the spike hunters out there and do their jobs. Tell them to get their deer hunter buddies out there too!

Really though...... the thought that "today I suck and I hope I suck less tomorrow" IS the answer.

We are hunters. We find elk and lose track of them. We call them in and they catch us moving. They quit bugling then they start again a few days later. To top it off the fog rolls in the last 3 days of our hunt. Well..... that's the breaks.

Then all the stars align and we kill a good one and BRAG our azzes off about how freaking good we are. (lucky turds aren't we?)

After 40+ years of hunting Big stuff I actually think that the more time we spend in the field the closer we are to LUCK.

So I wish you good luck in huge doses.

They should have never made all of the units spike units too!
Big bulls come from the little ones and the spike hunters are going to road hunt for good eatin' animals. I'm sorry about your situation. Hopefully it gets back to how it used to be.

Sorry dryboot blame me. I have felt gilty about hunting out on indian peaks with all of the trophy hunters out there trying to get it done. I would be pissed if I drew a tag.
Well it wasn't me really hunting, I was driving my 17 year old daughter out. We only hunted some private property not to mess anyone up.
We hope to get out the next todays if we can?

How the hell do you expect to kill a bull on your LE hunt while there is a mosque being built in NYC, while at the same time refugees from hurricane Katrina are having to pay for their own #####? The cards are definitely stacked in a bad direction.......
