Wyoming ?

I lucked out and drew 102 type 1 and I'm wondering if wyoming lets you purchase a tag that lets you hunt the unit with a bow before the rifle, and dates when if they do.

You will be getting regs in the mail from Wyo (if not already). Check the dates, but the archery hunt generally runs dates in Sept. Most units it start Sept. 1st. I'm not certain 100% on 102. You purchase the archery permit and are allowed to hunt the archery season, then return for your regular rifle hunt.

Also, don't forget in Wyoming you need a conservation stamp as well. You can buy those, along with the archery permit, at any dealer in the state that sells licenses. Won't be hard to find either one once you cross into Wyo.

Archery is September 1-30 in 102. Archery seasons are section 4 of the Deer regulation, you can find all of the hunting regulations on the Game & Fish's website Hunting page, under regulations. Here's a link:

...and don't forget your proof of hunter's education card. Hunted Antelope out in there in 2004 and was checked and had to mail proof of Hunter's education (didn't carry it out with me) back to the gamie or the warning turned into a $65 citation.

Proof is only required if you were born after Jan. 1, 1966 and the Hunters Certificate IS REQUIRED IF YOU ARE HUNTING IN 75,77 & 79 NO MATTER HOW OLD YOU ARE.
