Nothing for me either although I didn't expect to after drawing last year.

congrad on the tag. I don't know anything about the Pouge unit but I had a late buck tag in the Chiliwist unit that is next to the Pouge and I think you should go pretty good. I like to hunt the second week of the late hunt. When I hunted I found a big area that I could glass and just waited. Everyday there were new bucks coming into the area or passing through. And look for the does and you will find the bucks. Don't shoot the first buck you find.

I also had good luck glassing above farmers fields were the does would spend all night eating and the bucks were chasing the does. In the morning they deer would head back up into the hills on public land to spend the day. You could pattern the deer pretty good. The same thing would happen at night the does head for the fields and the bucks would follow them.
 
Ya, baby I drew the Eniat archety tag. Somehow I put in for the B I wanted the C later tag but am happy to have the B. So far I dont know anybody else that drew it. Garrett, your gonna have to come up and hunt with me this year. That sucks not drawing this year but after last years buck I think youll be happy for a couple years. Oh ya got one of the Second Montana tags also, can wait for November.
 
Bear- Congrats on the Entiat tag and on Montana. I cant wait for montana i got an elk and deer tag in my pocket im gonna go crazy. And you got it, i will definitly go with ya. Time to put another big boy on the ground!!! Hit me up with a PM if ya want too.

What did you end up shooting in the chilliwest unit? Got pics. I live here in Okanogan and chilliwest is a great unit just happened to get pogue instead. I have had my eye on a buck for a while that i keep seeing in the same area and he is a good one. If he is still out there he could be in trouble.

The draw gods are smiling on me this year. My buddies and I applied in New Mexico this year for the first time, and lo and behold we drew Unit 16A late archery bull tags in the Gila. Now today I draw the Observatory C archery any elk tag. September is gonna be a busy month! Oh, and I got the Palouse 3 pt. min. whitetail buck tag in November as well. I've still got Arizona applications pending - it will be my luck that I'd draw a killer elk tag down there the same year I've already got two! Seriously, I'm now hoping I don't draw an AZ tag and have to eat it - would rather save my points (and cash).
 
nothing in montana idaho oregon now washington i guess the next big zero comes in arizona. i wonder what it takes to draw.

I have one picture on my computer right now. It's not very good. I was by myself and trying to figure out my new camera. He is not the biggest buck I saw but he was my first 4X4. I got kind of trigger happy. I was not use to seeing a lot of bucks and no one else around to hunt them but me. My tag was in 2002 and the weather sucked that year for a late tag. Your friend got a real nice buck. Good luck this year.

Dangit! My dad and I both struck out. I guess getting a bear and two cow elk (we drew cow tags) last year was to keep us happy doin without this year. lol I'm not too dissapointed that I didn't draw, but I was really hoping my Dad would get a late deer tag. Oh well, there's always next year! (how many times have we all said that?)

Don't get discouraged. I had max points and finally drew a desert A tag. Then I checked my elk draw and drew a Peaches ridge elk tag. Oct 1st rut hunt with muzzleloader. Hang in there. If you don't put in you'll never draw! Good luck all. Mikey
 
nothing but the multi season deer tag for me. Wich is great because I would rather have a lang general deer hunt than no hunt at all.
 
Nothing here again besides the multi season deer! Don't mind too much because I get to hunt late archery for mule deer. I have 8 pts for deer and sheep and 6 for everything else. Although I don't think pts mean squat anyhow!

Dugan, how did you get 15 pts? Turn in a poacher? Just curious.

I caught a 20year old poaching a doe in december with a 22. I wish I could catch another one. I need to build my points back up in a faster way than 1 a year.

Hey Lowedog, I don't know if you heard but we moved to Ellensburg... a little bittersweet I guess...our family has enjoyed getting to know you guys and the area but this is our home... like the Wenatchee Valley is yours. I'll for surely be keeping in touch and still need to stop by sometime when we get settled in here.

I guess I should consider myself lucky on the draws this year, I drew of course the multi season deer permit like yourself and added a Entiat B tag to that this week, along with a Peshastin G Elk tag. I will be calling the locals for sure and yourself to try and nail something down on the Peshastin tag.

I'll give you a call soon... we can talk strategy with that multi season tag.

In the meantime, my cousin drew a rifle Mission tag...he's never drawn before...he's pumped. I need to see some Entiat Archery bucks now!!!
 
Garret I will PM you. Mike, I am lucky I guess, not enough time to hunt this year though, but ill make it work. Just trying to get this house done before hunting season, youll have to come and check it out. Starting sheetrock tommorrow. James
 
I drew a late entiat tag and notta for elk its kind hard when they combine 2 units and only draw 10 tags

Dugan, good on ya for turning in that poacher. Tough lesson for the kid to learn but it ws the right thing to do. I need to find a poacher! Although I don't know if the points would do me any good.

Hey Todd, good to hear from you. I had only heard that you were moving, not that you already had. It always is nice to be back home. Congrats on the tags! Mike T drew the Peshastin G tag also along with a Chiwawa late archery deer tag. My friend who killed the monster 400 class bull a couple years ago drew that same elk tag this year along with a Mission A. This is the same guy who's son drew those same 2 tags last year. I'm going to have him submit my apps next year! :)

I will be hunting deer along side Mike when he is hunting for elk. Maybe we can team up on them and get something going. Hopefully the bulls will be getting all worked up for you guys.

I am going to hunt that same area I hunted last year where I met your brother both archery and muzzle loader. Maybe getting in that basin up there before the rifle guys do will pay off.

Yieks!! 7 Deer points and no draw. I have drawn 2 great elk tags in 4 years. My buddy has 11 elk points and cant draw a good elk tag but drew desert A deer with one and Alkali with two.You never know......
 
I drew my third bull tag in the 11 years. This one is oct 1st to the 10th in the observatory.
 
lucked out this year with a clemens cow tag and a youth quilomene doe tag. im stoked.
 
Congrat's to everyone who drew....and to those who didn't keep applying and hopefully someday you will draw that tag you've always wanted.

I drew my first elk tag this year....WATERSHED! I can't hardly wait!
 
No draws for the kikendalls. My Dad and I are at max points each for deer. Alaska, here I come.

Craig, I love that picture. My Dads house is within a mile by the way the crow flies just south of there. I think I told you of the huge one that was nailed there where your truck was parked just after that. Someday I'll get that tag!
 
Thanks a lot Sagerat! I'm headed there today to scope out some leads. You can bet I will be holding out. Gettin things dialed in. Pumped about my elk hunt in the Little Naches too. When it rains it pours, I drew a late New Mexico muley hunt next door to the Jicarilla reservation. Mikey
 
If you've got a muley late tag you are going to have a good hunt. Be sure to check back with some pics in the fall.
