Hey guys!
Here's another stolen trail cam.
I've been reading about the theiving going on around here, along the Wasatch in Utah, but had no ides it would affect us.

My hunting buddy has a Wasatch LE trophy elk rifle tag and we have installed some trail cams in American Fork canyon area.

We left it at a wallow for about a week and when we returned it was........surprize........stolen........by some theiving, low life, scum sucking, turd juice, sticky fingered dink! (I can't tell you how I really feel)

The theives rode their horses right up to the tree and stole it.
I wouldn't have guessed it would really happen to us! Silly me! I guess I'm too trusting.

Be careful out there and remember to always set up 2 cameras. One to catch the game animals and another one to catch the theives. Then post their photos on this site and let the party begin.

seem one other site was hit by the horse riders too.

Makes a guy want to hide a second camera and aim it at his "out in the open" camera to catch the crook in the act.

The thieves on the rock pile are much better people than the thieves up north. They only took the memory card and not the whole camera. It was up less than 24 hours.

We have this all figured out, we just need a computer programmer to work with. You find and install (or have someone create) a nasty virus and install it on your card in the camera. When the terds go to look at the pictures, bingo, virus time.

Or you have your programmer buddy create an instant message from that computer that sends an automatic e-mail from the computer it is on.

now I had forgotten about other trail cams. every one realize there is trailcams out there that will send the pics to your cell phone. Forgot until sister inlaw came over talking about the big bucks they are getting on their cameras. There is also other cameras where they have a device to send it to your email or the computer with a router. These have a range distance believe they need a clear shot to shoot it to the computer though. The ones that send it the phone send it soon as they get a pic.

Just saying put the dummy camera out say a ebay $15-$20 35mm camera and make it so that people must walk in front of the other to get it.

RE: stolen trail camera solution

You see where I was going with this right? Even if they take your camera they will leave a nice mug shot for all to see on this beautiful blog.

RE: stolen trail camera solution

Sweet idea! I see where you're headed.
This crap will never end until a few get caught and PUNISHED!
Thanks, Zeke
