gettin confused on these elk

thought i would post a pic and ask u guys what u figure on score. im seeing lots of bulls like this and ive got so paranoid of my wife not being happy with the bull she shoots that i wont let her shoot anything.

so...... what do u guys think this guy would score. i keep tellin myself these bulls are 330's but everyone else is callin me stupid..

Great job on narrowing it down justr. Your a huge help. I would say somewhere between 310 and 390

Remember stinky, there are no pictures of any bulls on here that have a shot of being over the 330 mark. Seen the pics of your Dutton bull and hope my Dutton muzzy bull this year can reach that magical 330 mark like yours.

im just so nervous of possibly dissapointing her with ground shrinkage ya know. I found her what i thought was a mid 370 bull or better this morning but couldnt get him away from his cows. 2 days ago we had what i thought was a solid 380 or better bull at 15 yards but it was too thick to shoot. im pretty sure we will be tagging out in the morning. these pisscutters have run outta time. lol

btw bessy is proving invaluable in helping us spot bulls. however rutnbuck came down and between those two poor geezers were worried the old folks home is gonna put out an apb for two escaped alzheimer patients.

Well stinky, all I can say is if I get a 370 - 380 in my crosshais on the Dutton, I will have no hesitation and be happier than a two peckered puppy if I got him! We all know that there is nothing that big there though right? I know you have some big bulls in your collection but I feel that a 380 is something to be proud of no matter where you are hunting them damn wapiti! It will be the time you have with eachother being out in the field deciding wich trophy you will take that will make half the memories. I was wondering if you could at least help me decide for my Dutton muzzy tag if you would lean more towards up high or down in the cedars. I know you have some time on that rock pile and my supposed guide that was going to take me on that mountain is gone for the National Guard. I was thinking cow creek, lightning holow, n Rock creek areas. What do you think?

It's so hard to judge from just 1 pic, and pics can be so deceiving, but I would venture to guess he around 340" or so...maybe better.

This is a bull taken by a hunting buddy of mine last year. It's about 335". This guy has kind of a weak front half, but he has 56" beams:

thats a dang nice 335 bull. im just seeing so many bulls that now im havin a hard time distinguishing 330 from 370. never thought i would have that problem.

I totally understand. Seeing the back half of that bull, from the sword back (which is the first thing I look for), you'd swear he was a 360-370" bull.

His short front 3 points just kill his score as it seems as though he could have easily grown another 30"+ there. For a first bull and an archery kill, with his son right there with him, my buddy was plenty happy though.

Hard to tell from the pic, but I'd say he is between 330-340 depending on his spread.

Just shoot the dang bull and have the taxi widen the spread and add a few points! They can do anything with antlers now. Give the taxi a few six point sheds and have him stick them on for a "double main beam" bull! Who cares about the dang score, sounds like you have enough money to pay the taxi to fudge the score to your liking.LOL

Definitly over 200" somewhere between there and 435".
Great bull congrats. I am more impressed that you shared this witht he youngster. PRENTS listen up especially mothers. What type of memories do you think the youngster will have for the rest of his life. A strong bond with his parents, a desire to get out in the mountains to exercise and witness events that would normally be seen on tv with ole Marty Stauffer and the possibility to pass this on to his future family.
