Just got a text pic of a bull that is supposed to go 390+. Says a woman shot him in the books. Anyone else seen him yet?
 
Talked to a Guy I know this morning that said a gal took a 360" Bull out there,maybe He's a 390" Bull now?:D

Or maybe it's another Bull?

Nope! This is supposed to be a rifle kill. Also different hunters name. That other bull is awesome too.

I talked to a guy, that talked to a gal, that said her mothers, uncles, aunt, shot a big one this year. I cant confirm or deny?

Friend of mine's girlfriend shot one out there saturday. 7x7. Not sure what it scores.

Seen a giant in the back of a white 4dr duramax parked alongside of I70 outside of Green River on Wednesday. I don't know if it was from the Book Cliffs or what, but it was a monster.

I've seen and handled the antlers. The family are friends of mine. That is one beautiful bull. Heavy,wide and long. The pictures don't do it justice. What difference does a B&C score make? If you gauge your success by a score you're missing the best part of the hunt. But just for a reference point he really is close to 390. He'll be scored mid November.

At first glance I would put that bull at 385 - 395

i didnt get a text from him, hell, i've never even talked to the trigger happy SOB, but i'm quite sure we will agree. which is almost excepted as an official entry in B&C record books, this bull is no bigger than 330".......
 
KBKILLER if you only thinks this bull goes 330 your crazy. Let me know what you think the fronts are.

this bull is 390 easy i killed a 357 bull this year. this bulls tines is 3 inches longer on ever tine. 10 inch longer main baems. 6 inches wider inside spred it ads up quick makes my bull look small.so WHY dont you belive
 
My mom killed this bull it was an awesome hunt she lucked out and drew the tag with nine preference points. Unfortunately we had not time to scout on the hunt so we didnt get out to the books tell opening weekend. We probably looked at 20 or 30 bulls that wouldn't even go over 330 so we decided to split up me and oh deadeye went down one ridge and my mom and dad went down another. Me and deadeye spotted a heard of about 50 or so so we pulled up there and blew the whistle and it wasn't long we heard him anwer back and as soon as we seen him we knew he was the one we wanted. I got on the radio to get my parents over there and just our luck no answer they had left the truck and didn't take there radio with them so we hauled ass over to where they were looked up on the hillside and there my mom was just gettin ready to shoot a smaller bull so I yelled don't shoot and it was a good thing I did cause she was squeezin the trigger. I told her get in the truck we have your bull found and you aint shootin another one. So what do we do we haul ass back to where we seen him and he had already gathered his cows up and left. We never seen him again tell the fourth mourning of the hunt and he was about 600 yards away across the canyon from us. I didn't want her to take the shot cause we were the only ones that knew where he was but it was her tag and she decided to try it. She got a dead rest off the truck and missed several times but it really never fazed him. We finally realized she wasn't gonna hit him so we sent her down the top of the next ridge to get a closer shot she got about 450 yards got a dead rest and took the shot this time hitting him in the shoulder. He wasn't goin down without a fight though he ran into some thick oak brush where we couldn't see him. We then got her in position where she had a clear shot either way he came out and deadeye snuck in there and scared him out this time she was only shootin 250 yards he was runnin straight away from her she shot and this time he went down. She hit him in the back of the head just an inch below the the base of the left antler. Weve had him measured several times his gross is about 390-393 and should net around 375-380. But his score don't really matter we would have had just as much fun shootin a 330 bull.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-15-10 AT 10:27AM (MST)[p]I hate the EP as much as the next guy, but I have to admit, giving 'er the ol' "college try" on a 600 yard shot stings a bit. And that is because getting at least 150 yards closer was no problem.

I will never bash anyone's method for how they choose to hunt because it isn't "my" method. But I do think each method also requires intelligent choices.

I am glad to see that the bull was finished off and recovered. Too, too many stories of lost animals this year..

Congrats on a great bull. I'm glad it turned out OK in the end. It is amazing how a bull can get that big when it it so stupid. Hanging out by the road and not running when rounds are lobbed at it.
 
She hit him in the back of the head at 250 hell why not try him at 600! Are you from carbon county or green river?
 
That looks like the same bull Stinky just posted. It even has devil points. Great bull, I wish I could've found one like him on my hunt.

It's difficult to read posts from people that don't "hunt" and don't know any better and aren't willing to learn because they think they already know from the two times they spent road hunting. It's a lost cause so I'll STFU and get back in the corner. Trying not to imagine wounded game and lost tags due to people that just shoot and wound. It happens, I know but does it need to??

God help us and yes, people are crazy.
