A few weeks ago I got a call from the UDOW and they gave me the news that some one had given this tag back and that I was the next in line. I, after hearing this news was so excited I said yes(While screaming into the phone) and am now lucky enough to get to go elk hunting in November!

I have been so excited and was wondering what everybody's opinion of this hunt is. I am looking for any help I can get as to where to go or where to start looking. I hope to get up there in the next few weeks to check it out and would like to get any tips or any info to help me get a decent bull...(330 or better).I am in high hopes of taking a very nice bull due to the fact that one of my best friends known on here as "mlycrzy" drew this same tag last year and took an awesome freak bull that anyone would be proud of(and he was lucky enough to draw a primo elk tag in nevada this year, lucky sucker ).

So I am asking you fellow MMers for your help and any advice you could give would be much appreciated. I promise to post pictures and give a full account of the hunt. This tag is like redemption for me, I drew a premier nevada elk tag in 2007 and had to eat tag soup due to a miss on a 340ish bull on the last day of the hunt, so getting this tag is helping to replace that sour taste in my mouth. Any info would be much apprecieted .

Sorry, can't say I know the area to help you. Been on the filmore pahvant unit many times, but not much on Oakcreek. I was not aware that there was many bulls on that unit. Good luck and hopefully someone can point you in the right direction.
