My buddy has a wasatch muzz. tag and am curious to what everyone feels about the status of the rut? Have they just begun? Are they wrapping it up? Dont seem like much bugleing, or is that due to the full moon and hot weather? Just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on the hunt. What did the rifle hunters think? I know they did not bugle very good during the archery hunt. I am assuming it is a late rut, probably due to the hot weather. As far as peaked, I would have thought it would have peaked by now even with the late rut, but I haven't been in the hills since I tagged out on the 14th...

LAST EDITED ON Sep-27-10 AT 07:39PM (MST)[p]this is normal. they are bugling allnight long!!! starts about 10,30 or so and goes till about 5 am. with the hunt prssure and 4 wheeler traffic they do it every yr. some of you might get pissed at this but give up some sleep girls. head out late and walk the trails ridges draws. just use your freaking ears. you will see what i have learned. locate after dark. i know guys that do this every night durring the hunt and they seem to kill elk every yr at day light. just stay outa the uinta,s lol
