Being it worked for the other guy I will post this.

On Sept. 16th at 7:30 am my friend shot a big bull in unit 45. It was quartering away and he hit a little far back. The arrow was buried in it to the fletchings as it ran away. We never found any blood and didn't know which way he ran once he got out of sight. We knew it was a little far back so we backed out until 4:30 pm, wanting to give him time to bed down. Well we went back and searched until dark not finding anything. We looked for the next 4 days putting on about 8-10 miles a day and came up with nothing. He hurt his knee quite bad while searching and we ended up having to come home on the 20th. If anyone comes across a bull with an arrow in it could you please contact me and we can describe the arrow and broad head. It sucks losing an animal, especially an animal like this. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for manning up & letting people know!
Hopefully your friend can recover the Rack!
This happens once in a while & I give credit to the Guys that give their 'ALL' trying/doing whatever they can possible to recover the animal!
Best of Luck!

I love not acting my age,
Damn I love my NASCAR race,
And Hell yes I love my Truck!

Even though you didn't recover the bull, at least you put in the time and miles in an attempt to find him. If you hunt long enough this stuff will happen. Hopefully someone finds him.

We will be heading back in 2 weeks for rifle season and to look some more.

He is not shooting another one, he is just coming with. He can barely walk.

i hunted 45 i found a small 4x4 bloated up in the upper willow creek area.

I like someone who has some ethics. I deer hunt part of elk area 48. Was thinking it was 45 when I posted. Otherwise I'd have kept an eye out for yer horns...

Hope you find his bull and recover the horns. That bull is possible to be close to where you shot him, I think he bedded down pretty quick after the shot(liver shot maybe) look in the thick stuff hope the birds gives away his final resting place.

"I have found if you go the extra mile it's Never crowded".

Who cares what PETA thinks. They already know that animals are lost every year. Hope someone on MM can help you recover your bull.
