I want to thank everyone for all of the help and support on my Dutton elk muzzle hunt. I didn't come away with one of those Dutton monsters but after working my tail off, and with a lot of help I was able to get a bull i am tottaly happy and satisfied with. It had to be some of the roughest hardest hunting I have ever done. The heat and slow rut was a killer! I personally want to thank Sniper1, yak4fish, out4elk and everyone else that made this a hunt of a lifetime! THANK YOU TO ALL THAT HELPED!

Excellent Bull!
It looks like a shooter to me!

Lots of hunters have said how tough it was this year. I was with a buddy on the Wasatch and I saw how the conditions affected the hunt.

Congrats on the success. Thanks for sharing.

Zeke

I was wondering when you was get off your lazy azz and post your bull up on this thing. Again man great bull and your right was a tough hunt but ended up being a good one. Get them legs rested up you got a month.

Hey buddy, I am still trying to recoupe from you pushing me all over that rock pile. JK. I want to thank you again for your help and being such a wonderful friend and hunt'n buddy! We will have to get "gimp" on your up and coming late hunt!

Hey congrats again. I am the guy that stopped and talked to you when you were dumping your trailer. Great looking Bull.

Thank you for all the compliments gentlemen, it was an amazing experience. I got there 5 days early and in 12 days on that mountain, I went from the lowest of lows to the highest of highs and everything inbetween. That mountain can break the toughest of guys and without all of the help and support of all my friends and everyone on here, I don't know if I could have seen it through. He is not the biggest of bulls but I am very proud with the 340 6x7 (He has a 3 inch devil tine on one brow tine). Every time I will see him hanging on the wall, it will bring back the memories of good my good friends helping and the huge lesson in patience and humility I learned this year.

Great bull, and looks better than many bulls that score higher. Score is irrelevant after such a great hunt anyways...He has nice mass, good lenght and is a stud of a bull.

Thanks Z, let me know when you will be around to get your gadget back. I can tell you that it was the cats meow and definitly helped me to keep going with that knee I was fighting.

Speaking of gadgets back. When am i gonna get them shooting sticks back i loaned ya. Oh wait you broke them didnt ya along with the first two pair. Who goes through 3 pairs of shooting sticks in one trip. Ha ha i guess the same guy who leaves a pack..... oh wait i guess i wont get into that one. :) sorry man had to give you shiz about it dont worry bout the sticks i found em. Glad to help

Congrats on a great bull Robert. He is one to be proud of and I know you worked your tail off scouting and during the hunt. Congrats on a much deserved bull.

That bull looks bigger than 340 to me. That is a beautiful bull that will look awesome on your wall; congratulations.

Thanks, he has everything I was looking for. Good front ends with character, good tine length on his seconds and thirds. He has diecent swords and whale tales. The thing that hurt him was width and main beams could be longer. But I am proud of him. He has good, dark dutton antlers with white tips. I can't wait to get him back from the taxi! Mike, Thanks for the fun allowing me go go with ya that weekend and getting to know ya was a pleasure.

Don't get me wrong, I worked my tail off for this guy and am happy with him :) I was just implying that I had my sights set for a bit bigger, knowing what was there. With the late rut, heat, moon and the Beaver fire raining ash on us, I feel very blessed to get this guy.

I here ya. I drew AZ with 10 pts. I shot the 1st bull I called in. It was the biggest bull Id ever seen. Scored 320. Cant help but think about what was out there if I were a true blue trophy hunter.lol

Great bull, some friends and I hunted the muzzy elk hunt back in 2002 it is alot tougher unit to hunt than some others. It might not be the bull you had your sights set on but the effort and the experience just adds to your trophy. Remember them every time you look at your bull on the wall.

Thanks treedagain. I was wondering if you see the same similaritys as I do with your south slope bull? When I get him back from the taxi next month, I will get some more pics up so you can see some better angles like yours but I really thought they looked like brother bulls.
