I'll be up on the morgan south rich e lost creek unit as much as I can to seal the deal on a cow hunt. i kow by now most of the ladies have fled onto private property and cwmu's, but with some hard hiking i think i just might be able to put the hammer down on one. any suggestions?

hunt the fence lines, especially the dark timber far away from roads, they still will be there...

The echo henefer wmu holds some elk all hikin in you might have to go in a ways some nice big canyons back there borders Private property.

TH3006 best of luck on your hunt, gettin close to borders will pay off . i saw 2 cows get shot out of the lowest hayfields in August on my way up to fish, They were circled up and looked like they ran from monte, probably just the hot temps. Some of the private gets alot of pressure wich could help u out. One local outfitter puts a big dent on the cows on that unit with the help of his deer "feeding" coinciding with his many many cow hunts. Hope u get some meat for the deep freeze.
