Like I said its big

It looks like pretty low in elevation and white antlers. Is it a "RANCH" bull?

It's big though. Congrats to the lucky "hunter".

Power lines in the back ground, white antlers, and low elevation. My guess is a ranch bull. Looking forward to hearing the details on this one.

Awesome bull! Mountains in the background look like Willard Peak to me. Heard there was an elk ranch on Rocky Point. Not for sure though, could be way off.

Can't say I have spent much time looking at ranch bulls, but that one does not have the look of a wild bull. Those white horns just don't look quite right. Also, power lines in the background sure don't help. I would have to say it was a farm raised bull as well.

Huge bull for sure... They sure can grow em big... I'd definitely say ranch bull, but I'd like to know the details just to be sure...

Peaks are similar to those above Willard, though I'm not quite convinced (probably the angle of the photo). The terrain around the bull, coupled with the distance from the mountains makes me believe it is not Willard Peak... Seems like they'd be out in the farm fields, or in Willard Bay itself at that distance.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-12-10 AT 01:11PM (MST)[p]Actually since we are all guessing. You all are wrong.

"This bull was shot by long range archers and slowed the bull down to a crawl which allowed the rifle hunter to put the SNEAK on this bull and shoot him from 1500 yards. Good thing the bull stumbled and fell, as he tripped over the downed barbed wire fence, so the rifle hunter would go look for him otherwise we would have # 250,127 elk wounded by archers in northern Utah alone." I was told it was an archery kill by a kid named Phillip in Utah and that is all the info I got. I agree looks like a ranched bull.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-12-10 AT 02:32PM (MST)[p]I live in Willard and that is definitely below Willard on a new elk ranch that was put in this Fall. I'm sure the hunt lasted at least 10 minutes tops :) Not my kind of hunt, but to each there own. Nice bull.

Hopefully the taxidermist can polish up and add some color to the antlers. Nice bull, it will look good on the wall. If it was a ranch bull from Willard, I am sure it was a very hard hunt...
