LAST EDITED ON Oct-16-10 AT 08:38?PM (MST)

We had a great hunt and got a great 6x6 bull down.A big thanks to mick chapels new mexico professional big game hunting and our great guide Terrance Garcia. My son made a awesome shoot of 286yd with his tc muzzlerloader.Thank god I bought the ranger finder before we lefted on the trip. All the time at the shooting range paid off big time and a new hunter is hooked. We seen another 12 bulls after getting this one down on the first afternoon of our hunt.We hiked and scouted for three days after taking this bull as I am teaching him as he is only 11.Looking forward to getting back and hope we can draw tags and not need to get him a land owner tag next year.I think I enjoyed this hunt more then any I did for myself. Not sure what he scores but he is a trophy in both of our eyes. Most people who seen the bull think around 320 as he has short 5th but awesome fronts.Hope all enjoy there hunting season as much as we just did.trying to post a pic just not having any luck.If someone can help i will email them the pics to post here for me.thanks Bill

guess u've never met mick?
guess you've never had the pleasure of personally running into him in the field?
guess you've never had him help scare your elk off?

lets just say that good ol mick isnt a favorite of a lot of hunters, and the locals around quemado sure as heck dont like him. maybe next time you post you can leave out the minor details like "hey everybody, i hired an #####!"

LAST EDITED ON Oct-17-10 AT 00:38AM (MST)[p]Congrats to you and your son, glad to hear you guys had a great hunt and sounds like he got himself a pretty good bull to boot. Were the bulls still pretty active over in 13? Can't wait to see a picture of him, again congrats and thanks for sharing it..

well sorry to see not everyone likes the outfitter I hired.Sorry to say i did not get to talk to everyone in NM to get approval of who I hired. My report was to tell people about my sons hunts and the luck we had.Funny how my guide and us worked with locals in the area who had no problem helping us out.The elk seemed to be in many parts of the rut some with cows and some bulls together plus by themselves. We had some bugling but not many.I am still working on getting the pic's up.

Stinky, The guy tell's a story about his son's first Elk hunt and what a great hunt it was and you go off on him about who he hired for a guide?! I can see who the azzhole here is.

Congrats to you and your son, Billc. What a great start to a liftime of hunting memories. HAWK

Hey Stinky, you can go pound sand up your @$$. This guy is telling his story, and trying to post pics, and you're worried about his guide? What a tool. Does it really matter?
Congrats to your son on the bull, and the memories.

sounds more like an ad for mick rather than a story.

besides i never expected anyone to like me. i dont come on here for brownie points and kudos, i post in order to keep my friends updatd on my hunts. if u dont like me then great! if u do like me then no big deal as well.

now back to the issue at hand. mick chappel is the raghorn king of the world. sure he gets big ones every now and then but on average raggy paradise is where u hunt.

i just wanna set the record straight before others get burned on a mick chappel special

sorry to rain on ur parade
a$$hole out lol

I did not want to pretend Like I did my sons hunt on my own.Giving people the credit they deserve thats why I said who we hunted with not to get any one more business.I was treated great and shared that info. You know people who were not have them post and stop making your stupid comments on my post.Pic's will be coming soon.

Good that you take the time to take your boy hunting. Looking forward to the pics.

Compromise, hell! ... If freedom is right and tyranny is wrong, why should those who believe in freedom treat it as if it were a roll of bologna to be bartered a slice at a time?

Maybe you need to check your hearing stinky. Didn't sound that way to anyone else. But even if it was perceived that way, if this guy had a good hunt why shouldn't he post it? You sure as hell don't worry about plugging those that help you.

So far so good.

Friends? You have friends? Come on now, guys who follow you around to benefit from your spending habits are not friends.

The issue at hand was a father telling a story of how he enjoyed a hunt with his son.
