Late Season Central Manti

I been down a few times, seen Elk, but nothing big.
With the general seasons mostly winding down, I'm thinking the Elk
will be calming down a bit, after next week, and not being pushed around so much.

I'll probably be solo diy most of the hunt. As my hunting partner, my Father is getting a new hip this week.

Any one familiar with the Unit & the late hunt that would be willing to fill me in on some tips or habits as they've discovered in this unit would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

They won't be calming down after this weekend! The rifle deer hunt will be pushing them further and deeper than the elk hunt will have.

I would take these guys up on their offer for help, (especially if they know where the bulls go). I went down two years ago with a fried who is a great hunter and he hunted the whole season and ended up shooting a raghorn the last day. If you don't know where the bulls pull off to, you can look over a lot of elk without seeing a mature bull. The first day I know I saw at least 500 elk and not a single 6 point.
The big bulls pull off away from the cows into dark corners that we never found. It was actually pretty frustrating hunting for me, but hopefully you will have a much better experience.
Good luck.
