WA Mule Deer Raffle Tag

Alright boys, i guess i cant keep the secret in the bag forever. So i do know who has the tag this year. No No No, its not me, what a run of luck that would be, but as a suprise for my father. I suprised him with some raffle tickets. Yup you guessed it. The guy won the raffle. How does this happen, i dont get it. But now the fun, and hard work begins. I cant wait to be able to hunt with my dad from Sept 1st to the end of December for an awesome muley. And he definitly owes me now, so i think i am set.

Now down to business. This is a huge Tag to have, i get everything that comes with it. Mule Deer Crazy from hanging with him a couple days on his hunt 2 years ago told me a lot about dealing with the stress and joys of having the tag.. I know the joys and frustrations. But i am hoping that my dad and i could get some help on other areas here in Washington. ie, the desert unit, some of those units up the methow/okanogan and the good ole wentachee and entiat valleys. Any help would be greatly appreciated. wether on here, and email or a pm, i know my dad would really appreciate it. I cant believe he can be hunting mule deer in 2 weeks, this is crazy!!

Congratulations! Wow, your dad must be stunned. I'm sure you guys will get some help on this. Try to hold out for a good one! We'll be looking forward to seeing the pictures and hearing the story. Best of luck.

That's awesome for your dad, I'm glad someone who frequents this site is so directly connected to the tag, I'm sure we'll hear some good stories and see some good pics as the fall goes on. That is awesome!

I'm glad it is connected to one of us also. Can't believe you get to run around with them late season bucks again! Your dad having the tag is just as good by me. That will be cool for you guys I'm sure.

Garret, I hope you are feeling the pressure. You really need to guide your Dad to that great buck. Consider hunting the Desert early or get a good lead on a MONSTER high mountain buck. We will send you a PM if a really good one shows up around here. My guess is that the tag gets filled after the general season when the bucks move down; November-December. In the mean time enjoy your Montana hunt. You Lucky .......

Hey guys thanks for all the kind words. Is it bad that i feel like its my tag haha. I told dad its mine, he just gets to pull the trigger. haha, he didnt think it was that funny. But thank you for everything.

I already told dad i would put my elk and deer hunt in montana on hold for dads hunt. its up to him.

Garret I am heading to the Methow in 2 weeks, I have seen good bucks there but probably not the caliber you guys are looking for. My bet is your dad will take his buck in the late season, unless he finds a whooper over there is the Desert, to bad you cant get on the Colville indian res with that tag. I will let you know if I see any hogs in the eniat while I am there. Congrats to your dad for the tag, you guys sure do have a run of luck going.

I bought 5 raffle tickets for that deer tag when I struck out on drawing anything.Ive got 18 points for elk now and a little bummed out on the whole thing. I cant believe I didnt draw it.Anyway congrats to your Dad. Cant wait to see what you guys come up with.
