unit 36 nm

was just wondering if any one has hunted unit 36 new mexico. Going to hunt the january 1st thru 15th hunt archery. Have only hunted unit 34 in january. If any one has any places I can start to look would be greatful. no honey holes just a place to start looking.. thank you..

I hunted 36 last year to hunt elk and then 2 week later to help a friend with his elk hunt and saw a whole lot of deer on the way up to Mountjeu peak lookout off the ski apache road. Didn't see any big bucks but I saw a couple of decent ones. Then opening weekend of spring turkey season I way back in there and found a real nice shed off a buck up there. You might want to check out the Nogal Peak area an 400 trailhead as well. Hope this helps you out. Good luck.
