King Toad Lives!

King Toad may very well be alive. I just met with one of the guides who was with Marvin and the client on the hunt. They took a 11x12 nontypical on Sunday which grosses 250 and change. They initially had located the buck on July 7. The buck was killed on the WEST side of the Kaibab, a long ways from Big Ridge on the east side. I was privy to seeing a dozen pictures. Definitely not the same buck that was taken on the strip. Awesome looking buck. Will have to wait till Muley Crazy publishes the story.

I don't get it. I thought on the post "The King Has Left the Building" that the King Toad was identified and killed exactly where I said he was.

Someone, somewhere has his facts confused. I'm not doubting that what you are saying is what you were told. It is just that the two posts don't jive.

Now I'm the one who is confused.

Freedom isn't free. This is the land of the free, because of the brave. Support our troops. It is only because of them that we can enjoy our way of life.

I have no reason to doubt my friend's statement that the auction tag was filled on the west side. What is nice is that the Kaibab plateau, and not just the strip of 13B, can still grow deer of that caliber and age worthy of the auction tag. This buck was happened upon by the guides by chance after lotsa time scouting on the strip; no outside tips or finder's fees.

What is also nice is that the King Toad is then still foraging the burn. Go get him, BHD.
