Bookcliffs muzzleloader tag!

I got a call from Utah DOW this morning. The lady on the phone informed me that I was an alternate for the Bookcliffs muzzleloader hunt. She asked if I wanted the tag that had been surrendered. I probably sounded like a giddy little girl on the other end of the phone. I was blown away! "Sure I want it, thank you!". Christmas came early for me this year.

Thanks guys, I plan on having a good hunt. I just have a few questions for the experts. Since I can't shoot a doe, is it ok to eat the tag if I don't find the right buck? And if I see a "pisscutter", is that a good or bad buck? HaHa! Seriously though, if anyone has any advise for the hunt, I'm all ears. Thanks

I have the same tag and it looks to be a great hunt. I have been down there a bit htis summer and the bucks are out in full force. I am going in with an outfitter and there is another slot open if you are interested. There would be just you and I in there with them. We are going in on horses for a full day and then hunting for 5 days with another day to ride out.
