OK so all you MM out there help me out. I am aware of the following Utah 400 bulls being taken this year on the following units? How many more are out there? Which unit wins? Are there other units that produced the magical 400 bull ???

San Juan:
400 Archery
400 Muzzle

Pahvant:
400 Archery

Anyone have pictures of these bulls? I have not seen a picture of a 400 bull shot in Utah. How about sharing?

I know there is one more that was shot last week. 400 and 1/8th and hes broken up. 56 inchs of mass. I cant say who or where do to the hunter asking me not to but its NOT a mossback.

They are dissapearing!!!!!!!! Been in the taxi business for over 10 years now and every year we get fewer and fewer bulls over that mark. this year we only took in 2 bulls over 400. Both came from the Wasatch and both have extra points to push them over the mark. We will have them on display at the expo for you all to see. I hunted the san juan this year and only seen 1 bull that would go over 380. I think 360 is the new 400. count your blessings if you get one over that mark.

So monarch?

What'd you end up getting?

What weapon?

I love not acting my age,
Damn I love my NASCAR race,
And Hell yes I love my Truck!

My buddy at work showed me a late Manti tag of a 400+ bull taken just above Mt.Pleasant, the thirds on it and mass are crazy, maybe the same one that was mentioned earlier??

For those of you interested in some footage of the san juan bulls mentioned above I have started to put together a story of my 2010 hunt. Founder is letting me use the HAC, even though the contest is over. Seems like a good way so that I can stick to the story and not have anyone hijack the thread. Not that that could ever happen around here.

I have some footage of the archery bull up now, and I haven't gotten to the part about the muzzleloader bull in my story yet, but it is coming in the near future. I do have some other pretty awesome bulls that will be in my story. If you have comments or questions, go ahead and hijack this thread like I did or start a new one. I did get the once in a life time experience that I had dreamed of and hunted some giant bulls. However, I had to work really hard and I had a ton of help.

2010 on the San Juan

I talked to Muleyhunter413 the other day and he said that his San Juan archery bull and the giant 6x8 muzzleloader bull will be together in the front of the expo in Paul Pennie's exhibit. I can't wait to see those two bulls.

I agree, keep typing! Great story so far and that footage of those bulls gives me that feeling in my gut that all us hunters love. Cant wait to read more Utah450.

Great stuff. Turns out we chased some of the same bulls. I just about arrowed nuclear 6x8 one evening. Passed him up at 7 yards because I thought I was going to kill the big 7x8 on the CWMU fence line. Well that didn't work did it!!! I do have some great footage of the 6x8 up close and from a distance I would like to show you sometime. We Guessed the Big 7x8 to be in the 407-418 range. Never heard of anyone killing him or never seen him after sept 1st. Seen him 4 times before the hunt and then lost him. How bout you did you ever get a glimpse of him? Hope so can't wait to read the rest of your story, it makes me feel like I am there again.

Pretty slim pickings. I was able to fondle the monster Andy is refering too and he's truely prehistoric.

Personally I only know of 3 legit 400"rs, which really isn't anything for ANY state to sneeze at. Utah is still probably n?mero UNO, but not for much longer. I think AZ is poised to reclaim her throne.

Seems like the wasatch and manti produced as good as anywhere last year along with a few other low profile units. Coulda fooled me though cause I ain't seen Jack for big bulls on the wasatch this winter. Stinkin elk are everywhere though. Gonna be a lot of cow tags next year. I'm talking double, tripple.... Maybe more.

Might be "fishlake" wasatch county style.

Terry, I had no idea you could write like that. I am enjoying your story very much and not just cause you are praising me. ha ha, keep it up I am anxiously waiting the next chapter.

Thanks for the comments guys. @Monarch, I would love to see your video of the 6x8. I would love to see some on that 7x8 too. I had heard of that bull, but I have never seen it.

It sounds like there are still a few great bulls around if you hunt hard enough.
