Thanks to all that gave helpful info through out the year. As many have all ready said, the late hunts this year were difficult. That being said, we had a good hunt. We started hunting the northern end of the unit. We heard about a few nice ones being harvested the first few days, but we decided to hunt closer to our camp down south. We saw quite a few bulls, but most were real busted up. Sunday we did see a good bull with long beams, but again he was missing 2 full points and a few others were busted up as well. Monday night we spotted a good bull from a long ways off. We decided based on what we were seeing and hearing that he was worth a closer look. Tuesday we hiked into some super steep country and finally found the bull we had seen the night before. I loved his mass and the length of the beams past to 5ths. Not to mention me was not very broken up. So I decided that I would take him. I am thrilled with my bull and am grateful for all those that helped on the hunt.

Actually it is a spike by two!!! It was harvest in the White River area in Utah, way back in 1999. Funny how he was more thrilled with the little spike than the bull I brought home this year.
