Late Season Dutton Elk

Got this bull on opening day. We found him the night before and got some cool pictures of him in the spotting scope then went back the next morning and found him mid-morning. Ended up going 331" with good tine length and good mass, 10" bases.
I am very happy with this bull and got to share the experience with good friends. But from being on the unit last year and talking to the locals the quality and number of elk have severly tanked.
He had a kicker on his G3 that was broken off that would've been cool to see. If anyone has any pis of him with the G3 kicker I would love to see them.

Ya rub it in. Opening day cake walk. Thanks for leaving us on the mountain for another 6 days. Im just glad it worked out in the end so the ole lady didnt kill me. Great bull did i tell ya i think we seen your gut pile that next day. The elk had moved out of there.
 
How about some more pictures and a final score on the elk you guys got?

Im working on the pics and story of dix bull havent been home much. I love the hat comment. Ha BA haaa haha. Them boys from idaho love them hats if ya notice.
 
I will answer that question for ya. Mt dutton was the unit and well lets just say he is the luckiest SOB you will ever meet. Ask him about last years expo tag. Sorry chad i guess im just jealous.
 
The unit was Mt Dutton - late rifle season. Drew the only non-resident random tag with 5 points. Drew the same tag last year from the expo. Just a little lucky.
