Extended elk are hard to come by. But, I'm sure there were at least a few taken this year by MM members.

I was up there that day we ran into you. i was with the guys from wildearrow, that time we thought that dog was yours and you thought that it was ours.

We hunted that area, but with all of the pressure it got we were blown on so many stalks. On two seperate occasions i was only 80 yards from a herd with a raghorn and was waiting for the right moment to creep in closer or have them move toward me, but the stalk was blown when other hunters thatought it was a race to the elk. Literally on both occasions these guys ran after the elk. i don't know if they thought that they would be able to catch one and ride it or get close enought to stab it with a knife... but eventually i just gave up on it.

Remember it well.....it is not an easy place to hunt, you really need to be up there during the midweek when there is NO pressure. Any time you want to get together nest season, just shoot me a PM.....always willing to help out a fellow hunter!
