my dad works for the city of nampa,id and heard from co-workers that a gentleman from boise city dept? has shot a muzzleloader typical mule deer in Idaho that currently beats the standing idaho muzzleloader typical by 3 or 4 inches.

if my memory serves me right, the current idaho #1 is only 1/2 or so below the world record. so this buck would be the new muzzleloader world record for typical mule deer. anybody heard anything else about this story?

The current Idaho Typical Record was just shot last year, by one of my friends. It was 204 net...well below the 224 or whatever the world record typical is.

The deer i was refering to was taking with a muzzleloader. For those of you that get eastmans hunting journal, look in this months issue. Page like 66 or something, its called the tag i always wanted. Thats the deer.

i think you are misunderstanding me. i know your buddies current state record is a muzzleloader. i heard that a new muzzleloader record buck was taken this year.
