Thought I would share some photos and a quick story of the bull I shot on the General Muzzeloader hunt on the South Slope Uintas.
On the third day of the 2010 general muzzeloader elk hunt my hunting buddy and I located this bull in a small basin on the south slope of the Uintas. We watched him in some thick timber and by the way he was milling around, figured he was going to bed down. I went after him in his bed while my buddy kept an eye on him to see what he would do. I stalked around the backside of the ridge he was on and got to within 20 yards for a shot. I was very excited to get a bull of this caliber in a general any-bull unit. It was a great hunt. It is always fun to make a plan, stock and get close for the shot.
We put a tape to him and has 50" main beams, 45" inside spread and a gross score of 325".
