Big Old Bull - green scored at 456 1/2 inches

Places like Minnesota and PA are producing some huge horns lately. It takes an act of God to draw a tag but if you get one hold on to your shorts. Cool story thanks for sharing.

It's always an adventure!!!

Is that the Ranch Bull that escaped the High Fence?

That high fence bull wass the big one down in N.Mex---Bop....

Nice bull from MN for sure.

I wonder how many Con Org tags MN and Pa have to get such huge bulls.

Cool Story. Also a decent DNR that worked with the people that found the animal. 10-14 years is a nice long life compared to most. Beautiful set of antlers and an interesting story to tell when people ask about it in the living room.

It is a sad story- Finding that huge animal in such a helpless and vulnerable state must have been quite a humbling experience. Apart of me wishes it would have survived- but another part thinks maybe he had lived out a full long life and this guy was in the right place at the right time... I wonder how they decided who got to claim it- if my buddies and I had found it, all of us would have wanted it... LOL

Yes, definitely a sad story but sound like he lived a long life. We have a few small pockets of elk up in NW Minnesota and have had a few hunts in past years. This fall I think they gave out around 20 or so tags...some for bulls and some for cows only.
